- 应该是“正值壮年”的意思，另外还有 before one's prime 和 past one's prime
- if you talk about infants, they are before their prime，如果讨论的是婴儿，那么他们就在壮年之前。
- if you talk about someone who's in depression when he's fourty, you may say he's past his prime. 如果有人在他 40 岁时憔悴不已，我们可以说他 past prime 了。
